Sounds of the Good Life are ready to turn it up. Hailing from Bloomingdale, Illinois, the rock ’n’ roll five-piece delivers an upbeat guitar-driven sound, booming saxophone lines, and explosive stage energy that’s earned them a loyal and growing hometown following. Formed in 2020, the band’s tight musicianship and genuine camaraderie shine every time they hit the stage. With new music on the horizon, Sounds of the Good Life are just getting started.

The band features Anthony Doughty (vocals/guitar), Wesley Ittner (lead guitar), Nathan Szabo (Saxophone), Adam Blendermann (Bass), and Kyle Cramer (drums).

About Us

Our Story

In 2020, frontman Anthony Doughty picked up a guitar after watching a guy play one for a girl on TV, a moment that quickly sparked the creation of Sounds of the Good Life. What started as a simple inspiration soon grew into a five-piece rock ’n’ roll band performing original music across northern Illinois and beyond.

By summer 2024, the band stepped into the studio for the first time to record and release their debut live EP, Featuring five original tracks, the project marked a major milestone and set the tone for even more songwriting and releases to come.

The momentum continued in 2025 with the release of their single “Tonight,” followed in 2026 by multiple new tracks, “2+2,” "I Wanna Be Your Man", "California" and two live songs "I Wanna Be Your Man" and Prince's "Purple Rain" This is all while the band keeps building its catalog and pushing its sound forward.
